New Curro Rangers rock the stage

Curro Krugersdorp’s Gr 8 learners marked the start of their high school journey with an energetic stage production.

Curro Krugersdorp High School’s Grade Eight learners stepped confidently into their high school journey with a vibrant and energetic performance at this year’s concert, The Rocking Rangers.

According to Curro marketer Dibuseng Mabuya, the production celebrated creativity, teamwork and the confident spirit of the school’s newest learners.

“The concert showcased a wide range of talent, with learners bringing their own unique energy and dance moves to the stage. The performance highlighted unity and personal growth, reflecting the school’s commitment to excellence and innovation,” she said.

Leandri du Plessis, head of Culture at Curro Krugersdorp High School, as well as the director and creator of the production, expressed her pride in the Grade Eight class.

“I’m truly proud to welcome our new Rangers to the high school. This promises to be an exciting year of self-discovery, and one thing is certain – we will be with them every step of the way,” she said.

The school’s executive head, Annemarie Lombard, also praised the production and the enthusiasm shown by the learners.

“This was a spectacular production. I couldn’t sit still, and I found myself dancing and singing along. Thank you to all our teachers and parents for showing such strong support to our new Grade Eight learners,” she said.

For Dibuseng, The Rocking Rangers is more than just a performance as it marked an important milestone for the Grade Eight learners as they took their first steps into high school life.
