Motorists warned after new speed hump added on Beyers Naudé

With repairs continuing on Beyers Naudé Drive, officials say the latest speed bump aims to protect both drivers and road workers.

With ongoing upgrades on Beyers Naudé Drive, another speed bump has been installed, and motorists are urged to proceed with caution.

Councillor Shenan Cochrane said contractors have installed an additional speed hump near Catbox/Heritage View Road along Beyers Naudé Drive.

“This hump is reportedly not as severe, but it is necessary as motorists are still allegedly speeding, creating dangerous conditions for other road users and construction personnel,” she explained.

She further informed the News that the project remains on track, with the upgrade expected to be completed in approximately 12 months.

“We would appreciate your patience and tolerance while the project continues. It should not be too long before this important upgrade to Muldersdrift is complete,” she concluded.
