According to Curro’s marketer Dibuseng Maboya, Yara Bode was recently named the category winner for dance at the prestigious Talent Africa competition. She entered the Youth Arts Festival 2025 programme and participated in undramatised poetry, Digkuns, and Free Movement Dance.
Her captivating dance routine earned her a diploma and the title of Grade Three dance category winner. This remarkable accomplishment has secured her a spot at the Talent Africa Nationals, set to take place in October this year, a testament to her dedication, passion, and talent at such a young age.
Yara’s talents don’t stop there. She also recently competed in the South African Literacy Association (SALA) semi-finals, representing Curro in the Poetry category at Randfontein High School.
Yara’s mother, Yolande, praised her daughter and gave a special thanks to her dance teacher following the competition.
“We, as her parents, are extremely proud of her. It is an absolute privilege to watch her dance.
We are truly blessed by her talent and deeply thankful to God for the opportunities she’s been given to participate in these events.
“A big thank you to Yara’s dance teacher, Petro de Lange from Pro Dance Stars, for her guidance and support.”
Yara’s journey is a shining example of how talent, hard work, and community support can come together to create something truly special. The entire Curro Krugersdorp family wishes her continued success in the upcoming competitions and beyond.
