Hands-on learning takes centre stage at Curro Krugersdorp Open Day

The community gathered for a dynamic showcase highlighting young learners’ talents, hands-on exploration and the school’s commitment to interactive education in a supportive, family-focused setting.

Curro Krugersdorp was a hive of energy on Saturday, November 1, as the school hosted a vibrant and activity-packed Open Day for preschool and primary school families.

Parents and children were welcomed into a uniquely designed adventure trip around the campus, offering a true taste of the Curro Krugersdorp experience.

According to the school marketer, Dibuseng Maboya, the interactive tour featured a series of practical activities at various stations across the school. Families worked together on coding instructions, participated in exciting science experiments and explored the basics of robotics. At every stop, parents collected a sticker to mark their progress, bringing an element of fun and teamwork to the day.

After completing the journey, families made their way to the field stand, where they received a “Get Ready for School” goodie bag along with a hearty boerewors meal. This thoughtful gesture highlighted the school’s commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both current and future families.

The adventure began at the preschool where Curro Krugersdorp caters to learners from three months old to grade seven and concluded at the soccer field. Here, parents engaged with staff, offering first-hand insight into the level of involvement and partnership they can expect at the school.
