Final bow for St Ursula’s matrics
The class of 2025 at St Ursula’s said goodbye with a memorable prize-giving ceremony, reflecting on their school years and supporting the community with a kind gesture.
St Ursula’s Class of 2025 held their final assembly as classmates during the last prize-giving ceremony of the year.
According to school principal sister Diane Granger, over 100 awards and prizes were handed out, covering sports, academics and cultural activities.

Head boy Tshenolo Dumpies described the event as emotional and overwhelming.
“Many of us have known each other since high school, so the farewell will be bittersweet. From team activities to classroom chaos, it will be difficult to adjust once we start university or college,” he said.
The ceremony concluded with learners donating their school shoes as a gesture to support the community and less fortunate learners who may not afford shoes for the upcoming academic year.

“As a Catholic school, the gesture was inspired by the unconditional love for God and for one’s neighbour, driving selfless actions to meet physical, spiritual and moral needs. This reflects Christ’s love and sacrifice, from simple acts of kindness to supporting global aid initiatives like Catholic Relief Services,” sister Diane said.
