Athletic talent and passion shine at Millies cluster meet

Five local primary schools gathered at Laerskool Millennium for a lively cluster athletics tournament, celebrating young talent and a love for sport.

It’s that exciting time of year again when Krugersdorp’s primary schools host their cluster athletics tournaments.

On February 3, Laerskool Millennium welcomed five local schools for a day of fun, competition and athletic development.

The participating schools included Matlhasedi Primary, Krugersdorp Town School, Setlolamathe Primary, Lengau Primary and Laerskool Paardekraal.

According to Millies’ departmental head Mindie Koekemoer, the tournament is an annual event designed to nurture athletic talent from an early age.

“It’s not about which school wins the most events, but about helping each child develop as an athlete and fostering a genuine passion for athletics,” she said.

Koekemoer added that the top-performing athletes from the cluster tournament will move on to compete in the Krugersdorp Championships on February 12.
