Young chefs shine as Curro Krugersdorp hosts inaugural Mini Chef Cook-Off
Aspiring young chefs show off their culinary skills as excitement builds for the upcoming final round.
Curro Krugersdorp hosted its first Mini Chef Cook-Off, bringing together aspiring young chefs and enthusiastic families in the kitchen.
The first round of the competition took place on September 19, marking the beginning of what promises to become a standout event on the school’s annual calendar. Participants were challenged to showcase not only their cooking skills, but also their creativity, teamwork and ability to perform under pressure.

According to Curro’s executive head, Annemarie Lombard, the competition forms part of Curro Krugersdorp’s commitment to providing learners with opportunities to develop practical skills, confidence and creativity beyond the classroom.

Following the success of the first round, anticipation builds for the Grand Finale on October 10, where finalists will once again don their aprons and compete for top honours.
