I second Chris Fuhri’s letter which featured in the 21 June edition of the NEWS.
My oppinion is, let the authority first prioritise and put us loyal residents, citizens of this country first, in whatever decisions they made.
I stay at Siverwright Street, bought a property seeing the potential of the place but since I’ve moved two years ago I don’t have peace here.
The Municipality must find registered owners of those properties which we all know that prostitution and drugs are in full operation to be evicted, or maybe they should find us a better place and turn this place into office park that will bring good business in the area.
We are right in town, a suburb which should be well taken of as we are the rates payers but not getting proper recognition or service delivery.
The streets are dark, I report every week but nothing is happening, it takes forever for the municipality to come and clean the area as I’m next to the vacant stand that is council owned which these filthy un South African dump as they like.
The whole area is bad. We matched around much but till now nothing is actually happening that is visible to our eyes.
I’m pleading, pleading, pleading … can someone who’s got a heart hear our cries?
