I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the lady who stopped at the Monument Mall ATM and helped me on Sunday 21 July at 12pm, when two men pushed their way into my space at the ATM and swopped my card and stole my pin.
She gave me the number to phone the bank immediately, and although money was taken (for which there is a case of fraud opened), she saved us from loosing a lot more.
Thank you for your assistance and taking the time to help a stranger. I must say, unfortunately, the next time someone pushes at me at an ATM, he might walk away with a broken nose and some teeth missing.
The criminals that are so rife in our country force normal, friendly people to be mistrusting of everyone.
I get the “a hand that steals should be chopped off” thing now.
