Thank you to the kind person who picked up my injured ginger cat, Tigger on the corner of Tulbach and Dublin Streets and took him to Noordvet.
Thank you also to the kind staff at Noordvet who tried to help him.
Unfortunately his injuries were too severe and he had to be put down three days later.
When we realised he was gone we drove around looking for him and walked in the veld for days calling him, so although it was devastating to hear how he had been injured, it was comforting to have closure and finally know what happened to him, through our wonderful family vet.
To the person who hit my cat with his/her vehicle, while I understand these accidents happen, you should have had the decency to get the animal help and not just leave him lying on the side of the road.
Also, drive slower!
Because we live near the veld and rabbits and other little nocturnal animals often run in the road, I purposefully drive slower in Dublin Street at night.
I sincerely hope that your animals or children aren’t treated in the same way you treated mine!
