Always do your homework first

Wassie Wasserfall of Rant-en-Dal writes:

I would just like to warn the residents of Krugersdorp and surrounding areas about a certain company that is installing carports , palisade fencing and kitchen cupboards.

I had an insurance claim paid out to replace the damaged carport.

A deposit was paid with the outstanding balance due when the work was completed.

After all the rain we had, I noticed that the slope of the carport was wrong and that the water was making a little dam on the sheeting and not running off, and then dripped through the sheeting onto my vehicles.

After numerous attempts to contact the company by email and cellphones to come and repair their work, I was told that the wind blows the water under the sheeting onto the cars. It must be one strong wind that can do all this as shown in the photos.

Up to now this company has not even send me a Vat invoice.

The five-year guarantee they give is also a scam.

Please people, make sure the contractors you use are registered with Sars, and also look on Hellopeter.com if there are any complaints about the company. In short, do your homework about the company.

This company and the staff are incompetent.
