Agang support enormous

Raliphi George “Master Push” Xolelizwe, chairperson of the Kagiso Community Leadership Forum writes:

With the date of the fifth democratic elections set for 7 May, parties are in a rat race to win the cheese.

Agang SA is building a powerful campaign machine to fight the 7 May general elections, the Ward Organising Committee member said on 23 February at a community general meeting that was held where the old Kagiso Police Station used to be.

We will strike a balance between old hands and new faces, she said.

Hundreds of people, most dressed in green T-shirts and white T-shirts with Agang SA printed on them arrived at the venue.

A pamphlet’s headline that read Vote for your future. Vote for Agang SA in 2014 highlighted problems facing the city and a country and how the party planned to combat problems such as shocking conditions at Kagiso 1, Green, Boiketlo, Lanwen and Munsieville hostels and Mogale City suburbs affected by water shortages.

Also the monitoring of the rebuilding the Bob van Reenen Stadium multipurpose facility, abuse of drugs, (Nyaope, tik, dagga, cocaine, crack and whoong) and women in prostitution, Pakistanis taking over spaza shops (businesses), corruption, nepotism, the Leratong Nodal Development, jobs, housing, education, healthcare, crime, service delivery protest at West Village, Makhulugama, Tudor Shaft, Soul City informal settlement and in Mogale City surrounding areas; and the problems relating to an open-cast mine operated by a mining company. They will address all these issues.

When we interact with people we find that the support for Agang SA is enormous.

Agang SA has been running an aggressive election campaign in the West Rand areas in a bid to win Gauteng in the May election.
