You were the one who judged

A member of the AFM Church in Noordheuwel writes:

Sorry dear Johan.

You were the one who judged. I was so shocked to read your letter and see how words and thoughts can be so twisted.

Do you have over a thousand supporters to back up your works and deeds?

Well I have news for you … Our pastor Gerrit Mes has!

Every one of his congregation can vouch for the fact that he and his entire church have been trying for many months to collect R30 000 to send just one young woman for rehabilitation.

That can be done only if she is willing (which many are not).

Believe me, it is not for the want of trying on the part of the AFM pastors who go out and beyond their duty to save the souls of those lost ladies.

Yes, my friend Gerrit Mes really is a man of God!

I dare you, I invite you, to come to the AFM Church in Ludhurst Street any Sunday at 9.30am. Every one, any one, is welcome to any service.

Come and see and hear for yourself what Gerrit, Greg, James and JJ preach; what the cell groups practice; what the tenths are spent on. Teams have been selling packets of biltong, boerewors rolls etc.

Come and put your action where your mouth is. Then write again to the NEWS about what is judged and what is not.

At Caxton, every story is written by humans. We use AI only to perform quality checks - never to generate the news. Happy reading!
