Sanco supports Brigadier Ngubane’s return

George Raliphi Master Push Xolelizwe from Chief Mogale writes:

It is with interest and hope that I read the News interview with Brigadier Sipho Ngubane, who is back as commander of the Kagiso Police Station.

South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) Mogale City Zonal Interim structure welcomed Ngubane’s appointment.

As the chairperson of Sanco Maki Legwete branch, I am confident that the team has done an excellent selection as the Brigadier has much-needed capabilities sharpened over 30 years of service.

During his tenure as cluster commander for Kagiso he steered the cluster to scoop the number-one position in crime fighting.

You see! Gauteng is an attractive, densely populated province characterised by high levels of competition for scarce resources within the three metros and several district municipalities as hub of economic destination.

It therefore facilities unfortunate crime parallels indicative of economic centres around the world that undermine and challenge a security and justice system limited by resources on a daily basis.

Sanco acknowledges that each community and group is affected by crime differently. I believe, given a chance, Brigadier Ngubane understands his role of turning the situation around, particularly in dealing with serious crime like drug syndication, domestic violence, common assault, rape, mugging, robberies, theft and burglaries – the list is endless.

I hope we now are going to see how the stability of a police station and its smooth running is evidence of the quality of its core leadership.

At the helm, the station commander must possess the necessary skills to pull strings and ensure that all sections work in synergy.

Attention to detail, enforcing discipline and being fearless, or a lack thereof, are some of the tools that could make or break a police station.

Brigadier Ngubane has the unwavering support of myself and the Sanco Mogale City Zonal Interim team in execution of his duties to ensure Kagiso is safer.
