Obsession is defined as an idea or thought that continually preoccupies a person’s mind.
When this preoccupation is focused on the achievement of good things not only for a few, but for all citizens, it receives God’s blessings. In leadership, this is precisely where the focus of our obsession should be.
Regrettably, the current focus area of leadership in our West Rand region seems to be driven by an excessive desire for self-enrichment at the expense of serving the masses honestly and with unimpeachable integrity.
People get into politics for self-interest and accumulation of wealth, with all the bling that goes with it. Stealing taxpayers’ money has become fashionable.
Amid all the looting, it is encouraging to have a vigilant media whose obsession is exposing corruption and all anti-social activities in Mogale. Well done Janine and team! To hell with corruption.
