Living in a world without trust

Thabo Moeketsi from Kagiso writes:

Looks like the world is fast being shaped by the values of lies, dishonesty and corruption.

Why is there such a huge trust deficit in the world? Could this deviant behaviour be linked to people’s huge appetite for money and the bling that goes with it? Some Americans don’t trust Donald Trump due to alleged links with Russia.

Moscow does not trust America’s fighting of alleged terrorists in Syria. Some of our citizens don’t trust our president as they allege he is a liar. Some parliamentarians want a secret ballot to vote in a motion of no confidence against him.

Where have all the trust and values of decency and good behaviour gone to? Why do we allow money to turn us into monsters? Marriages are falling apart due to the trust deficit.

There is still hope for humanity to repent and live according to God’s dictates and defeat this evil desire for excessive wealth.
