On New Year’s Day I tried to contact Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) due to a problem with water. It was all in vain, only to establish that MCLM has published the incorrect or non-existent telephone numbers as emergency contact numbers on their website.
The concern that arises now: is there someone on standby after hours? If so, why does the call remain unanswered and why do they get standby allowances?
Why is Mogale City residents not being advised of the correct contact details?
* Dear George, thank you for your letter. We have also tried in vain to find out why MCLM does not answer their telephones after hours. Their excuses range from “no one available to answer” to just simply “we are busy, please be patient”. This has been going on for years and we truly hope that perhaps in 2018, they will start to take note. Thank you – Ed.
