I loved the Krugersdorp Library. There is so much to choose from. Only thing … the five librarians that were there made as if they were so busy. It was such an effort for them and too difficult to get up out of their very comfy chairs to show me where the books I needed were!
When my family and I were there last month, the one librarian was so disrespectful to an old tannie who was waiting to give her books in.
The intention of this letter is to encourage all librarians to smile, smile and smile, and to be ready to assist when needed.
The candy crush or game on your computer can wait.
It costs nothing; a smile is mahala.
It will make the librarian and the person taking the book feel lighter and brighter.
Here’s hoping to having a happier experience at our local libraries.
