Bad experience at Yusuf Dadoo

Anonymous from Krugersdorp writes:

I read the article about the young mother who gave birth on her own at Dr Yusuf Dadoo Hospital.

I was a patient there last year. I am 23 years old and I have a high pain threshold, but the service I got from the doctors as well as the security was shocking. I was in so much pain I could barely talk, so I asked my mom to come with me, not just for moral support, but to explain what had happened.

The security guard pushed me and my mom away when I told them I could not sit and the only thing that helped was if I stood up and walked around.

I asked the doctor if my mom could come and explain as I was battling to talk from the pain and he told me I was old enough to talk for myself. I was in tears from the pain and he told me it wasn’t that sore and I must get over it. We thought it could be my appendix as my symptoms were very similar to those my brother had experienced. When I asked for something for the pain, I had to wait another hour. My mom, who was in the waiting area, was stressing as you can imagine, plus there is no cellphone signal so I couldn’t get hold of her to let her know what was going on.

I also told the nurse and doctor that a vial of blood was on the floor and they told me that it is their hospital and they will leave it on the floor if they want to.

I just thought I should share the fact that their bad service happens to everyone.
