Your talk is not so cheap!

Hercules du Preez of Silverfields writes:

Raliphi Xolelizwe’s letter in the 8 June edition of the News, People starting to lose their patience, has reference.

He favours the expropriation of white farmers’ land Zimbabweans style without compensation.

Does Raliphi have the money to buy tractors and combines? Or money to buy diesel? What about Eskom tariffs, stock remedies and farm feed? Farm security to safeguard his homestead? Has he the money to buy irrigation systems, seed, fertiliser, fungicides, herbicides and rodenticides? What about a bakkie and truck to take his cattle to the abattoir?

Does he have the means to pay labourers’ wages and provide proper housing for them?

If you do not meet these requirements, be thankful to the commercial farmers for your daily bread, meat, vegetables and fruit.
