Why does this keep on happening?

Monja Saayman from Rant-en-Dal writes:

The price on the shelf is R31,99, but get to the till, the price is R36,99.

Unfortunately, this is not a once-off incident. This store is continually overcharging on items (sometimes two items per basket) and even after bringing it to the attention of the manager (or whoever they call when you ask for the manager) more than once.

They say sorry, refund the difference, but it continues to happen.

How many customers do not check every item’s price on their shopping list? You can not trust that you are being charged the correct price – so why would one continue to support them?

I was warned about this by a neighbour and now it happened to me too over a period of time. It was brought to their attention more than once, so they had time to rectify problems and prevent a repetition.

However, it still continues.
