‘Much more than skandelik’

Disgusted from Noordheuwel writes:

I refer to the letter written by dominee Jannie Pelser titled Dit is skandelik and wish to comment as follows.

This is nothing new and as a matter of fact the state of Krugersdorp is absolutely disgusting and appalling.

The Mayor, Naga Patrick Lipudi kick-started his appointment by visiting clinics, cuddling babies, handing out blankets, and visiting the elderly. This was all done to score points for re-election!

Numerous instances of the lack of service in Krugersdorp have been exposed in the News since 2018, but the Mayor has done absolutely nothing about them, except ignore them!

Instead of Lipudi investigating them, taking appropriate action and getting his team working hard on cleaning up the squalid, filthy, smutty town of Krugersdorp – including areas such as Munsieville – he was unperturbed, turning a blind eye to all of this! Shame on you, Mr Mayor!

It is absolutely revolting and disgusting to drive through this derelict town of Krugersdorp and see the filth lying around, broken pavements, robot poles not painted, weeds growing all over, posters stuck on dustbins and traffic lights, and the many dilapidated, filthy and rundown buildings. The squalor in the CBD as well as in Munsieville is horrendous.

The people of Munsieville have themselves to blame for the state of their township as they vote for the same political party year after year and see no change in the service (not) being delivered, but keep believing all the false promises made by these political parties, so they vote for them again and again and again.

It seems the Mayor and the rest of the Mogale City Council are overjoyed and satisfied to see Krugersdorp in such a dilapidated and derelict state, deteriorating day by day.

Lipudi has failed the residents of Krugersdorp horrendously, and urgently needs to be replaced with a hardworking, strong and dedicated person who cares about and works for the community of Krugersdorp in all areas.

In May, the residents of Krugersdorp should vote for a political party capable of bringing about change in Krugersdorp but then again, that party would be hard to find!
