I’m writing this letter to remind people that bad behaviour should never be tolerated.
I went to buy Chinese food at a shopping centre in Monument recently. The shop was crowded with people ordering and waiting for their food. It was very busy and everyone knew it.
One old man with glasses and a green shirt was incredibly upset, swearing at the staff, dropping f-bombs like it was going out of fashion.
“I was told my f@#$%^ order would only be 45 minutes, and they probably are going to get my f@#$%^ order wrong!”
I told him that his behaviour and swearing were intolerable and that either he curbed his behaviour and keep quiet, or he left the store and come back when he was calm.
He told me, “Get lost little girl” and said that everyone in the store was an “A-hole”. Another woman also told him off and other customers were making angry comments toward him on his rubbish behaviour.
He got his order, muttered an apology and left in a hurry.
A reminder:
If you cannot express that you are upset without making a scene and swearing, shut up. Rude behaviour is never necessary in any situation.
Call people out when they act like that! Regardless of who it is that’s doing it. It’s important to show that unacceptable behaviour is just that. Completely unacceptable!
If you don’t take nonsense, you’re not going to get any! We all deserve to be treated with respect and decency! If you can’t manage to treat people right, take a hike!
