Men and women

There are many differences between men and women. Not just physical differences but emotional and rational differences.

• Pastor Gerrit Mes of the AFM Pentecostal Fellowship writes:

There are many differences between men and women. Not just physical differences but emotional and rational differences.

Men, in planning for a fishing trip, put lots of thought into equipment. Rods, hooks, bait are top of mind. Packing clothing is just an afterthought.

Women are radically different. Is it going to be hot or cold, will it rain, how long will we be away for?

Life is a journey. None of us know where it will take us. Things can change quicker than the weather.

Today you have a job, tomorrow you don’t. Today you are enjoying good health, tomorrow you face an uncertain future.

Good advice for your journey. Don’t travel too fast, you may miss so much. Don’t travel with too much baggage, it can spoil the joy of the trip. Don’t travel alone, it is not God’s intention.

But here is the point. All of us will get to the end of the journey called life. You may get a chance to look back over your life. Live in such a way that you don’t have too many regrets.

Family, friends and faith should be the flowers that mark where you come from. Listen to great advice from my mom. Chew your food slowly, enjoy the taste. Don’t rush your meal, enjoy it. Don’t rush through life, slow down and smell the roses.
