I read with interest the stories in KN last week of the MCLM of Mogale not responding to your enquiries re services, and I would like to voice my opinion on this.
I also complained directly to SIX Mogale officials on certain issues by email. Two of them vaguely replied, saying my complaint has been noted and will reply soonest with more details.
‘Soonest’ never arrived for several weeks, so I repeated my complaint, again asking when is ‘soonest’ forthcoming!! Another month later, ‘soonest’ never showed up at all and none of them had the good manners, courtesy, or politeness to reply back – SIX WEEKS LATER and still waiting! – absolutely disgusting!!!
I repeated this again by sending numerous emails to these same officials, but once again not one replied and I was totally ignored. I then sent my complaint to the Executive Mayor Mr Francis Makgatho on three occasions, using his Mogale email address and also his private email address – no reply received from him either! (Nice example he sets being Mayor of Mogale!!)
I then complained to the Honourable Speaker of Mogale, namely Noluthando Mangole asking her why the Executive Mayor does not reply to residents. That was a MONTH ago and NO reply from her either. I also have been totally ignored by her. (Nice example she sets being ‘Speaker’ and not applying the Code of Conduct as prescribed in the rules!!!)
I then asked the councillor in my area and got this reply: “Don’t feel lonely, the Executive Mayor doesn’t reply to anyone. We sent a request to him on 3rd January, and still no reply received.”
I asked another councillor whom I know very well, and he too said, “The Executive Mayor, the Speaker, and the spokesperson at Mogale are a law unto themselves, and only reply IF they think it is necessary, otherwise they ignore everybody.”
The moral of this story is to show the residents and people of Mogale who they voted for and put in office.
People who totally ignore your complaints, people who don’t care, people who can’t be bothered, people who let our infrastructure fall to pieces, people who are a law unto themselves and don’t care a hoot about the residents of Mogale.
They only show interest when voting time comes around so that stupid and ignorant people can vote in these lazy, slothful, inactive ANC officials over and over again every year to ruin the town of Mogale as they have done for the past years, not caring a damn what happens to our town and infrastructure, and the residents who pay their salaries!
