Local Karate Dojo impresses on national level

The Krugersdorp Karate Dojo accumulated a total of 27 medals in two recent championships,.

The Krugersdorp Karate Dojo recently competed in both the JKA Gauteng and SA Karate Championships, and the results were astonishing. Even though the competition was tough, a total of 19 competitors from the dojo made Krugersdorp proud during the Gauteng Championships, bringing back a total of 18 medals – 13 gold, three silver and two bronze.

Sixteen of these 19 competitors qualified for the SA Championships in their respective divisions .

During this championship, with over 3 000 competitors, nine medals were awarded to the Krugersdorp Karate Dojo’s students – three gold, three silver and three bronze.

“These students make me proud every year. I am looking forward to their future achievements, and the new heights they will reach,” said their sensei, Leon van Niekerk.
