He’ll give Lewis Hamilton a run for his money

Jordan Brooks had to be the undisputed driver of the day.

Local go-kart racing champion, 12-year-old Jordan Brooks, took another win at the African Go Kart open held at the Zwartkops International Raceway on 1 July.

Jordan entered the African open in the 125cc Mini Max. He qualified for pole position and won all three heats, thus clinching the African Open 2018. Jordan was the only competitor in all the classes to qualify for pole position and win all three races. He is currently leading the Northern Regional Championships in both the Mini Max and the Mini Rok classes.

The young rider, an official rider for the BirelART South Africa Cart A team, and his team had high expectations for the Open after dominating in the pre-final rounds, but they also experienced heartbreak in classes which looked like sure victories.

BirelART said that Brooks had to be the undisputed driver of the day. Not only did he qualify for pole, but he was also the only driver in any class to have taken three out of three race wins.

Jordan Brooks won first place three times during the African Go-Kart Open.
