Judokas go to Mozambique

Ruhan Terblanche, Moagi Molefe and Keagan Diab had several training sessions with the judo club based in Maputo.

Three judokas from the KJK Judo Club recently represented the Gauteng Judo Federation on a tour to Mozambique for 13- to 14-year-old judokas.

Ruhan Terblanche, Moagi Molefe and Keagan Diab had several training sessions with the judo club based in Maputo from 9 to 12 August.

Their visit ended on a high note when a judo competition was hosted by the club on Saturday, 11 August.
Keagan, who is a learner at St Ursula’s School and Ruhan, who is a learner at Hoërskool Noordheuwel, both achieved first place in their categories and Moagi, who attends Krugersdorp High School achieved a second place.

Sensei Katja Bruwer is very proud of them and said that it was a great experience for all the West Rand judokas who attended the training.
