New route for this year’s Berge & Dale

Laerskool Protearif will play host from this year.

The Takealot Berge & Dale Cycle Challenge organisers have some exciting news to share!

Besides the event coming of age this year (yes, they are turning 21), the organisers are also moving the event slightly west to its new home for the foreseeable future.

Laerskool Protearif will play host from 2020 onwards and the organisers can’t wait to show what they have in store for you.

The reality though, is that based on feedback received from past participants, they had no choice but to reconsider the route and venue options.

Mogale City Traffic Department also advised to consider a less traffic-laboured route.

What they have created will be very similar to the 2019 edition in terms of distance, but the experience will be brand new. To continue the legacy of an ever-challenging Berge & Dale, the 2020 edition will be no different.

Yes, they also think it’s kind of mean, but the first 90km is so flat that they hope your legs are warm enough for the finale up Honingklip (Sterkfontein climb).
