Curro riders make it into the Gauteng West team

Eight Curro Krugersdorp High School and Primary School learners took on the competitive scene throughout the year.

Proving that they have what it takes to one day climb to the top of the equestrian sports ranks, eight Curro Krugersdorp High School and Primary School learners took on the competitive scene throughout the year, finally receiving a spot on the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (Sanesa) Gauteng West team.

Curro riders made the following teams:

• Shani Botha riding Saratoga Anastasia – Equitation 80cm (Class P6EQ06) A Team, Showjumping 80cm (Class P4SJ09) A Team, Showjumping 80cm (Class P4SJ10) A Team and Prix Caprilli (Class PSPC01a) A Team

• Christiaan Prinsloo riding Jeroma’s Evita – Showjumping 1m (Class P6SJ13) A Team, Showjumping 1m (Class P6SJ14) A Team and Handy Hunter A Team

• Kendra Forsyth riding Kyasa – Showjumping 70cm (Class P3SJ07) A Team and Showjumping 70cm (Class P3SJ08) A Team.

• Anika Grobler riding Strawberry – Equitation 60cm (Class P2EQ04) A Team, In-Hand (Class P3InU01) A Team, Showjumping 60cm (Class P2SJ05) A Team, Showjumping 60cm (Class P2SJ06) A Team and Handy Hunter A Team

• Tiani Fourie riding Bolt – Equitation 60cm (Class P2EQ04) A Team, Showjumping 60cm (Class P2SJ05) A Team, Showjumping 60cm (Class P2SJ06) A Team and Handy Hunter 60cm A Team

• Chante Grobler – Competition 70cm A Team, Two Phase 70cm A Team, Handy Hunter 70cm A Team and Equitation 70cm A Team

• Elle-Sune Botha – Competition 1m A Team, Two Phase 1m A Team, Working Hunter 90cm A Team, Handy Hunter 1m A Team and Equitation 1m A Team

• Kendra Sheinuk – Working Hunter 80cm B Team, Competition 90cm B Team and Speed 90cm B Team

These riders will participate in the Sanesa finals in September.
