Krugersdorp wrestler dreams of going pro as NWF club grows
At least 12 wrestlers have joined the National Wrestling Federation (NWF) wrestling club at the Key West Action Sports arena since its inception last year.
It has been a little over six months since the National Wrestling Federation (NWF) wrestling club at the Key West Action Sports arena was born.
Founder Juandré Ward was proud to announce earlier in January that 12 wrestlers have joined the club since its inception last year.

In the past few months they have also held their first live show and Juandré indicating it was a huge success. His students come from as far as Munsieville, Soweto and Diepsloot, ‘but there is always space for a few more recruits’ he said.
The 20-year-old Siphamandla Tsotso and his 23-year-old brother Calvin, joined the club about four months ago.

Siphamandla, or Mega, as he his known in wrestling circles, told the News that it was his dream of becoming a professional athlete that finally made him decide to join the club. He dreams of one day becoming a WWE wrestler just like his hero, Moose.
Although it was not exactly as he expected it to be, he said that for him, the biggest thing of becoming a good wrestler is having the right mindset.
He said a typical training session starts with a good stretch. Wrestlers then do some cardio work and loads of conditioning. Juandré added that he wants his wrestlers to be as fit and strong as possible, in order for them to not get hurt.
Mega was a rugby player when he was younger and played wing which he said has definitely helped him in the sport of wrestling.
In 2023, Junadré wants to host a few more live shows and expand the club. He invites anyone eager to join them. At the moment the ages for the club members range between 18 and 50 years old.
Their first training started on Monday, January 9. They train every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday with weekday training taking place between 18:00 to 20:00 and weekend training between 09:00 and 11:00.
