Let’s help them get to Namibia!

Dancers have been hard at work in recent months preparing for a major international event in June. Although the dance studio has done all it could to raise funds, it still needs the community's help.

Twelve young and energetic dancers from Synergy Worx dance studio hope to blow audiences away at the International Fine Arts Association (IFAA) International Championships to be held in Namibia on June 7 this year.

This comes after many of their dancers had achieved their national colours showing resilience and impressing the judges at the IFAA South African Championships. This allowed many of the talented dancers to qualify for the international showpiece, confirmed a proud studio director Natasha Rizzo.

“Our dancers had the chance to compete at either Mauritius or Namibia for their international federation colours. This year we chose Namibia. The Synergy Worx competition team has since done a lot of fundraising including raffles, food sales and this Easter Sunday a flash mob at Silverstar followed by a very successful auction. However, although we have done all we could, it will not be fully possible for many of the young girls as travel costs and accommodation will be expensive. Therefore, the studio appeals to the community to assist them in making sure their dances achieve their goals.

“Please help our girls get there as they will go on not only to represent South Africa but also Krugersdorp,” Rizzo said.
