KBC hopes for medals at Bowls SA Inter District tourney
A large number of KBC members are in action across the country to represent Sables at the annual Bowls South Africa Inter District Tournament.
The annual Bowls South Africa Inter District Tournament is around the corner and Krugersdorp Bowling Club (KBC) are proud to announce that a number of its members were selected to participate.

The spokesperson for KBC, David Parker, said the tournament takes place until today, March 15, consisting three sections.
“The B section is in East London, the open section in Johannesburg and the Veterans in Cape Town. Each team consists of eight players in two teams of four for ladies and men,” David explained.
He said the Sables district is participating in all three sections, where KBC has 13 players in the team.
The following players were selected:
• The open section for ladies consists of Desiree Sieinhobel and Belinda Economakis
• The ladies’ veteran section has Kathy Maritz
• The men’s veteran section consists of Robby Piketh and Johan Clafford
• The open men section has Johan Serfontein, Martin Janse, Charl van Staden, Lee Barnes and Glen Minaar
• The B-section ladies consist of Elysse Heine and Leila Snyman.
• The B-section men consist of Stich Economakis and Jaco van Deventer
On March 8, 35 KBC members came together to wish their players good luck and show team spirit.
The club president addressed the gathering by saying he was very proud of the club and made a presentation to each of the players who represented Sables.
