Tyre troubles do not stop Brad to secure 7th place in action-packed German MotoGP

Krugersdorp’s Brad Binder battled tyre problems and challenging track conditions to finish seventh in a dramatic German MotoGP race.

Krugersdorp’s MotoGP sensation Brad Binder crossed the finish line in seventh place at the weekend’s German Grand Prix.

According to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, Brad was quick to move into the top 10 from the first lap. He then endured tyre pressure problems for the duration, but stayed on two wheels when a series of other riders fell into the gravel. He was less than a 10th of a second from sixth.

“From a working point of view and the weekend as a whole, this was a step. The main race was super difficult. It was such a long race, and a lot of guys were going down,” said Brad.

“It was chaos out there and very tricky for the front end. I was in a group the entire time, and that was hard for the tyre pressure and keeping the whole thing up. It was sketchy, so even though I would have liked a much better result, it was an accomplishment to get to the line,” he concluded.

After his seventh place at this race in Sachsenring, Brad is currently 12th in the Championship Standings. He will be in action again from July 18 to 20 at the Tissot Grand Prix of Czechia.
