Brad grabs yet another Top 10 in Czech MotoGP action
South Africa and Krugersdorp’s MotoGP star Brad Binder impressed at the Tissot Grand Prix of Czechia, clawing his way from the back of the grid to a Top 10 finish.
Brad Binder left his mark at the Tissot Grand Prix of Czechia this past weekend (July 17–19) when he placed among the Top 10 again in consecutive weeks.
According to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, Brad went from 19th off the grid and finished eighth. He gained eight points for this race and is currently 12th in the Championship Standings.
“I never had the pace I was looking for, but somehow we were a little better,” said Brad.
He said he found a way to be better in mid-corner and exit, but he was losing a lot of time in braking and entry.
“This is something we have to work on and find the combination. If we can do that, then it can be very positive. We tried something completely different with the bike, a little bit with the engine character, and it helped a bit with the edge grip and the drive. It just seemed to be more controllable in my hand, so I was really happy about that, and by no means am I happy with this position, even though it doesn’t look like it. We are slowly starting to figure it out,” he concluded.
Brad will race again on the weekend of August 15 to 17 at the Grand Prix of Austria.
