Darryn eyes comeback at Austrian GP after 17th place in Czechia
With 11 points and currently sitting 21st in the MotoGP2 championship standings, Darryn Binder is determined to regroup and come back stronger at the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix.
Krugersdorp’s MotoGP2 racer, Darryn Binder, placed in the Top 20 at the Tissot Grand Prix of Czechia over the past weekend.
He raced on the Automotodrom Brno and, according to Gresini Racing’s official website, placed 17th.
Darryn announced on the website that the Brno race is done and dusted.
“I was hoping to find my way to the points today, but unfortunately, I came a couple of positions short of that.”

Overall, he felt like he had the right pace during the race, but it was just not fast enough.
“Luckily, we had a test here, so we could try a couple of things and find a little bit more speed to be faster. Anyway, we’re going into the summer break now; a couple of weeks to reset and find my fit to come back ready to go again!” he said.
Darryn has 11 points and is currently 21st in the Championship Standings. He will be in action again at the Grand Prix of Austria from August 15 to 17.
