Curro’s Sion helps Team SA shine at Dance World Cup in Spain
Curro Krugersdorp’s Sion Vermeulen helped make history as Team SA triumphed at the 2025 Dance World Cup in Spain.
Curro Krugersdorp Primary School is proud to celebrate Grade Seven learner Sion Vermeulen, whose talent and dedication have earned him a place on the international stage.
During the June school holidays, Sion and his phenomenal dance crew represented South Africa at the prestigious 2025 Dance World Cup held in Spain, joining over 8 500 dancers from 51 countries in a spectacular showcase of global talent.
According to Curro’s marketer Dibuseng Maboya, his performances were nothing short of jaw-dropping, and their hard work paid off historically.
“South Africa placed fourth overall in the global rankings. Team SA was also crowned Overall World Champions in both the Junior and Senior Commercial Hip Hop categories. This achievement marks a monumental moment for South African dance, and Sion’s contribution to this success is a source of immense pride for our school and community. From the dance floor to the world stage, Sion Vermeulen is a shining example of excellence in motion,” Dibuseng concluded.
