Darryn Binder crashes out at Hungarian MotoGP2

Darryn Binder’s Hungarian MotoGP2 race ended prematurely after a crash, but he remains focused on improving for Barcelona.

Krugersdorp’s MotoGP2 rider, Darryn Binder, was forced to end his race early at the Michelin Grand Prix of Hungary following a crash.

After his race over the weekend of August 22 to 24, Darryn said on his official website that the race was unfortunately shorter than he had hoped for.

“I got a right start and I was in a good place in the track going into turn one, but unfortunately, I had a small contact from the inside, which caused me a crash.

“I managed to bring the bike up and go again. I stopped and we fixed something, but I was not in a condition to continue. Anyway, we’ve made some steps forward this weekend, and I hope that we can keep building on this in Barcelona. I’m looking forward to it!” he said.

Darryn is currently 22nd in the Championship Standings and will race again at the Monster Energy Grand Prix of Catalonia from September 5 to 7.
