Krugersdorp’s MotoGP2 rider Darryn Binder was unable to finish the Motul Grand Prix of Japan after crashing out of the race.

On his racing team’s official website, Darryn expressed his disappointment over the crash.

“I got off to an okay start – not the best – and during the first few laps, I tried to avoid the chaos and multiple crashes,” he said.

After he settled, as he called it, his rhythm, he was feeling decent about the race.

“I was staying with the group in front of me, but unfortunately, I lost the front going into turn nine,” he explained.

With the next race in Indonesia, he is excited to improve there.

Darryn is currently 24th in the Championship Standings with 12 points this season. He will race again at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia this weekend, October 3 to 5.
