WATCH: Loumari and ‘Smurfie’ race to victory at Tarlton
The only woman in her class races to victory with a 9.264-second run on her Suzuki GSXR 1000.
Loumari Grobler (35) was recently crowned the winner of the Superbike Street Racing Regional Championships held at Tarlton International Raceway.
Racing on her Suzuki GSXR 1000, affectionately called Smurfie, she competed as the only woman in her class. She explained that she has been working toward this achievement throughout the year, ultimately completing the 400m drag race in an impressive 9.264 seconds and reaching speeds of up to 237km/h.
“I have been racing bikes for 19 years, including circuit racing until 2016. Since then, I’ve focused solely on drag racing,” she said.

Loumari added that her highlights this season included taking first place in all her races and setting a new personal best at the raceway.
“I felt very proud of this achievement, and I will definitely be racing again next year. I am so thankful for everyone who has supported me over the years,” she concluded.
