Curro Krugersdorp rugby player selected for Lions 7s tournament in Portugal

Grade Seven learner Leon Arangies will test his skills on the international stage at a youth tournament in Portugal.

Leon Arangies, a Grade Seven learner at Curro Krugersdorp, will represent the Lions 7s squad at the Junior 7s Youth Tournament in Portugal in February.

The school’s executive head, Annemarie Lombard, said the selection is a significant milestone reflecting his hard work and talent. Earning a place in the squad allows him to compete against young rugby players from around the world on an international stage.

“We are incredibly proud of Leon and all that he has achieved,” said Lombard. “We wish him every success as he represents the Lions 7s in Portugal and look forward to following his journey on the international rugby stage.”
