The looklocal team had the privilege to witness Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu (literally) leaving his footprint in the Cradle of Humankind.

The media frenzy surrounding this event was unbelievable.

Journalists were jostling to take pictures or just to get a glimpse of this influential person.

How we leave our own footprint (figuratively) will impact the planet we leave to future generations. Will our actions cause them to jostle for survival?

We are reminded constantly to leave a green footprint to ensure sustainability without abusing the Earth’s dwindling resources.

Perhaps it is time we consider the future and tread lightly on Mother Earth.
