There will be food and drinks available on the day. Everyone, including car crews, are welcome. Crews from Pretoria and the East Rand will join in. As an entrance fee, each entrant should bring dog or cat food, toys, blankets or deworming medication. For more information, visit their Facebook page, Fora CarMotion Charity Run.

Melville Koppies Hike

2 FEBRUARY — Join in on a 4km guided walk (takes three hours) on Melville Koppies. Learn about who used to live there while you enjoy the peace, and be surprised by the ways in which animals and plants interact. Hike sets off at 3pm sharp. Adults pay R80 and children R40. Details: https://www.mk.org.za or call 011 482 4797.

Ngwenya Country Market

2 FEBRUARY — Diarise the first Ngwenya Country Market of the year, just off the R114 and Beyers Naude Drive in Muldersdrift. Lemon ‘n Limelight will provide fabulous music. Meet new vendors Luke of Earth & Roots (try his plant-based stir-fries); and George of Fine Artisan Cheese Flavourex (with his handmade cheeses). Chat to Ronel of My Birds. She produces creative bird-seed ornaments which attract birds into your garden. These garden ornaments are handcrafted, using a protein bond with no preservatives. The product is rain-resistant, and birds love them. Try some Lemon Mojo at Karolina’s Dirty Lemon. Her liqueurs and cocktails are very popular! And there are many other interesting vendors offering delicious food and drinks, clothing, decorative items, jewellery and more. Bring the family and your pets for a day of fun in the sun. Contact Viv on 082 497 6054 or Tina on 082 887 4263 for enquiries.
