Thank you, Leratong Hospital!

As a family we would like to commend these individuals for truly caring for the needs of their patients, especially while they too are at huge risk of this horrible pandemic.

At the time of his first visit we were under the impression it was merely stomach ulcers as was diagnosed by Helen Joseph Hospital in February 2020. The Poly Clinic doctor at Leratong immediately had the necessary tests done and it was diagnosed as cancer. In June the G scope was done and thereafter a biopsy, despite the delays the hospitals were experiencing due to Covid-19. In July a CT scan was also done. Although we had to wait two weeks for the results of the CT scan, Mr Dhlamini, Dr Moloi and Dr Thani (Ward 17) were absolutely instrumental in assisting us to get the ball rolling as time was of the essence. Dr Thani has assisted beyond the call of duty to have my husband transferred to the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital Oncology Department. As a family we would like to commend these individuals for truly caring for the needs of their patients, especially while they too are at huge risk of this horrible pandemic.
