More than 1 000 Town View High School learners were addressed about teenage pregnancy, human trafficking, bullying, fighting, stealing and substance abuse on Monday, May 9.

Representatives from Women Against Women Abuse (WAWA), the Department of Social Development, Westview Clinic, West Rand District Municipal Health and Social Crime, Community Development workers, Teddy Bear Clinic, Sibambene and the Krugersdorp Police were among the stakeholders who were at the school.

This visit came after school management requested the police and stakeholders to come and address the learners as recently some learners were found smoking on the school premises,” said Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Captain Raymond Sebonyane.

Learners were also encouraged to report any criminal activities immediately to the Krugersdorp Police on 011 951 1151 or to contact the Crime Stop Line on 08600 10111. Information may also be communicated via the My SAPS app or utilise the SMS number 32211 and remain anonymous.
