Resident to appear in hit reality TV series

Resident Ruan Scheepers is among 18 to feature in a hit reality show.

Tropika Island of Treasure is back for a fun-filled All-Star season where 18 lucky consumer contestants will battle it out for a chance to compete with celebrities for their share of the grand prize of R1 million.

The 18 consumer contestants have all been revealed and in the line-up is Krugersdorp local Ruan Scheepers.

Scheepers is a commercial model who has appeared on local magazine covers and has acted as a brand ambassador for multiple companies including Daniel Wellington, Vision Works, My Fanpark, and Above the Belt and Beyond.

His most recent achievement is being crowned Mr Global, representing South Africa on the international stage. Modelling is not his only forte, as he holds an Honours degree in Advanced Human Physiology.

Launched in 2008, Tropika Island of Treasure has been growing in popularity as the hit reality show has taken audiences on island adventures from the Maldives to Zanzibar.
