West Rand dancers put on quite the show
'Once Upon a Time' saw numerous dancers from all over the West Rand perform in Roodepoort.
A local dance school put on a fantastic show at the Roodepoort Theatre on Saturday, April 1.

The show titled Once Upon a Time saw numerous dancers from all over the West Rand perform.
Director of the production Ilse de Bruyn said the production included gumboot dancers from Goudwes High School and a percussion group from Pro-Practicum High School.

The production was made up of dancers ranging from just two years old to 30 years old.
“The show was very different from other ballet shows as it included different styles of dance such as contemporary and gumboot dancing”.
Ilse added that they even boasted a storyteller who kept the audience well-informed of what was happening the whole time.
