Burst water pipe leaves parts of Silverfields without water

A burst pipe on Orchid Road has disrupted water supply to several streets in Silverfields, with repairs expected to be completed by the end of the day.

Parts of Silverfields are without water today, July 14, following a burst pipe.

According to *councillor Lourens Gouws, the burst pipe is on Orchid Road, where the main valve was shut on the afternoon of July 13.

He said Orchid Road, Lovedale Avenue and Gladwyn Avenue are among the streets affected and may experience low water pressure or no water supply.

Gouws added that municipal teams are on site and repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the day.
