Muldersdrift police investigate transformer vandalism in Larsens Road
Eskom personnel join law enforcement on the scene after local security dispatches armed response units to catch infrastructure interference in progress.
Two suspicious individuals were spotted tampering with an electrical transformer in Larsens Road, Muldersdrift, just past noon on September 10.
Guardmax Protection Services sales manager Gerrie van Rooyen said the security company received the information and immediately followed up.

Two armed units were dispatched to investigate. Upon arrival, officers found the suspects on a ladder tampering with the transformer and confronted them.
The two individuals were apprehended and handed over to Muldersdrift police for further investigation.
Eskom employees also arrived on the scene and accompanied officers to the police station to open a case of vandalism and infrastructure tampering.
