Police in Tzaneen have arrested 93 people for various criminal activities over the past week.

According to the Tzaneen Police spokesperson, Constable Glenda Maimele, seven people were arrested for common assault, three for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, six for shoplifting and two for theft.

Singular arrests were carried out for housebreaking and theft, possession of dagga, possession of unlicensed firearm and possession of dangerous weapon.

Three people were arrested for drug trafficking, four for fraud, three for common robbery and five for interfering with duties of a police official.

One person was arrested for murder, 22 for prostitution, 12 for public drinking and 21 for contravening the Road Traffic Act.

Bolobedu: Police in Bolobedu have arrested 35 suspects for various criminal activities over the past week.

Bolobedu Police spokesperson, Constable Rebotile Shai said two people were arrested for failure to comply with maintenance order, four for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, one for theft and six for possession of dagga. One person was arrested for possession of firearm, one for drunken driving, one for failure to appear in court after warrant of arrest was issued and one for possession of suspect stolen property. Four people were arrested for business robbery, one for allegedly identifying a witch, and 15 for public drinking.

Maake: Police in Maake have arrested 48 people for various criminal activities over the past weekend.

Maake police spokesperson, Constable Rufus Magoro said two people were arrested for murder, two for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, one for attempted murder and six for common assault.

Seven people were arrested for traffic related offences, eight for possession of dagga,13 for liquor related offences, two for shoplifting, one for theft, two for intimidation, three for contravening an Environmental Act and one for theft out of motor vehicle.

Haenertsburg: Police in Haenertsburg have arrested 19 people for various criminal activities over the past two weeks.

According to Haenertsburg police spokesperson, Constable Bongi Malungane, 15 people were arrested for contravening the Road Traffic Act, two for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and two for possession of dagga.
